"No effect when pressing F2"

No effect on pressing "F2" / Complete absence of audio signals.

Most often, this happens because of the presence of antivirus software—“Kaspersky,” “Avast,” “Dr.Web,” “AntiMalwarebytes,” or other antivirus programs. Disabling the antivirus often doesn’t help, since the application isolates the system kernels at PC startup.

You need to locate the program that has isolated the kernels. Pay close attention to any unusual running processes that might in some way affect Windows security.

  1. Open the Core Isolation settings in Windows 10/11 (you can find it in the "Windows Security folder")

  2. Disable the "Memory Integrity" feature in the "Core Isolation" tab

  3. Completely uninstall any third-party antivirus software: "Kaspersky," "Avast," "Avira," "360 Total Security," "Dr.Web," "Avast", "Eset32".

  4. Restart your PC and try again
